Made by J.L.-G

I've been fuzzy in the head much of the last couple of weeks, recovering from - well, gross periodontal stuff. Not the ideal time for Jean-Luc Godard's Made in U.S.A to reach the top of my Netflix cue. But there it was last week, slouching against the player, daring me to be watched or returned.
So I thought what the hell, watch it.
Right off the bat, this dub (or whatever they call it in cinema, I'm still fuzzy) from Criterion is in glorious sharp color, what I think of as real world color - not the corn syrup of the inspirational Hollywood film, but the clarity of the actual world when best offered and seen. First up is a color zipper sign in Paris, stark against the night.
